By Festus Ndukwe.
So, the strength and power of a Christian is Christ. His life is hid with Christ in God, Col.3:3.
The strength of a Christian is hidden; it is in secrecy. It is not seen. That is why Satan’s agents marvel that though they do so much to bring a Christian down or destroy him yet he gets stronger. They do not know where his strength is hid.
The strength of a building is the foundation. The strength of a tree is the root. The house is visible but the foundation is not; the tree is seen but the root is not. So is the Christian and Christ.
As the foundation is to the house, and the root is to the tree, so is Christ to the Christian.
The Christian is visible to the wicked but Christ is not. The wicked sees the Christian as weak and someone to be devoured in a moment but not knowing there is a strong hand upholding him. This Scripture comes to me as I write this: “The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming. The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation. Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken,” Ps.37:12-15.
