After an 11-week wait, Professor Stephen Ocheni from Kogi State and Suleiman Hassan from Gombe State will be sworn in within the next 12 hours to represent their States in the Federal Executive Council (FEC).
A confirmation of the development came from spokesman to Acting President,Mr. Laolu Akande in a tweet posted Tuesday night.
The tweet reads: “AgP Osinbajo would be swearing in the two new ministers already confirmed by the Senate tomorrow morning @ start of the Federal Exco meeting.”
Both men were nominated in March by President Muhammadu Buhari, but the Senate concluded screening on May 3, 2017.
Ocheni replaces late James Ocholi SAN who died in an auto accident last year.
Mr. Hassan replaces Amina Mohammed who left Nigeria’s public service to become an Assistant Secretary General at the United Nations.
