Former president Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday said he would like to make heaven so as to become a singer, and praise God. Obasanjo also urged Christians to be prepared for the the second coming of Jesus Christ as the end of the world is near.
“You have to be fully prepared for the second coming of our Lord, there is no compromise. I have a friend who will always say that when we get to heaven that we will be exhausted praising God and it will be like a prison and will be very boring. But what I have seen this afternoon by the choir, I will want to go to heaven and join the hosts to sing.
“If this is an example of what praising God in heaven will be, then I want to be part of it. If what I have seen here is an indication of how heaven will be, I will like go to heaven. Jesus Christ came to the world to show us the way to salvation and eternal life. We have a good heritage and we have everything to be proud of.”He said.
Obasanjo further said God could not fix Nigeria but the people have to invite God into their lives collectively and individually.
“We have a lot of things wrong with this country if all Nigerians are sincere. Nigeria can be fixed by God but we have to invite Him into our lives. What we have to do about this country is in our hands. God’s grace abounds when we do not abuse it” he added.

While ultimately it is God’s decision who will get to Heaven; you have to take measures for the Decider to be favourably disposed toward welcoming you to the eternal abode .
Not to acknowledge His way, His truth, and His life is a death (eternal death, I mean) sentence!
To acknowledge and yet revel in sinfulness and all manner of evil is another sure death sentence.
While it may not be within any man’s (I repeat, any man’s) jurisdictional purview to pass such a sentence as you hint, Sm, we know some trees by their fruits.
My prayer is that OBJ makes Heaven to be a choir member which every soul that makes Heaven will be, because the stentorian scruffiness of his voice will be needed to combine with others in a melodious rendition of praise and worship to the Oyigiyigi, Ogbękugbęku, and Ako Abasi Ibom.
But, first, OBJ, like all us, and I mean all of us (for we have all come short of God’s glory) must shed our toga of hypocrisy and wickedness; lying and stealing; and stop calling God a liar by not acknowledging His sacrifice of love in Jesus Christ, on the old rugged cross.
OBJ’s friend got it half right when he says we will be singing and it will be boring. While we will sing, he forgets that the Bible says there will be a new heaven and a new earth after the present ones are destroyed by fire.
There will be a King of kings (in the true manifestation of the title), who will have other joint-heirs to assist Him in administering the new heaven and earth.
So for those who want to be political or other kinds of leaders in this terminable earth, good luck to them! But for those who want to be in the eternal abode, God’s hands are open to receive praise and worship singers and heavenly administrators, posted to every nook and cranny of the new earth!.
Ty: Fact is Obj has no business in heaven where Jesus and his joint heirs are ruling. You can’t eat your cake and have it! Beside those people are not going to heaven to sing. They have very weighty task to accomplish in the 1000 years of their rulership.

Ty: Of course I’m not God, couldn’t have been. but He has given clear qualification of recipients of that prized privilege.
