Catholic Bishop is new CAN Chairman in Adamawa

Must read

From Musa Solomon, Yola
A Catholic Bishop, Dr. Stephen Dami Mamza, is now the head of the christian community in Adamawa State following the sack of another Bishop, incumbent Mike Moses, who lost the vote.
Dr. Mamza’s election as Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) chairman wasn’t without the drama that greets elections. Some placard wielding youths called for the removal of the former CAN Chairman, Moses, who lost 34 votes to Mamza’s 49.
It took the intervention of the National President of the Youth wing of CAN, Engr. Daniel Kadzai, to calm the frayed nerves of the youths.
At the LCCN cathedral where the election took place, Mamza disclosed he was called upon to contest and thanked members for the trust reposed in him, adding that he would not disappoint.
Kadzai, on his part was optimistic that the lost glory of CAN in the State will be restored.
