Nine youths mauled by soldiers’ bullets in Plateau

Still reeling from the carnage caused them by suspected Fulani herdsmen, communities now have to deal with deaths from the guns of men paid to protect them, reports from the State indicate.
Details of what led to the deaths were still sketchy, neither has the Army spoken up, but the Rim community of Plateau State was attacked Tuesday by some armed men suspected to be personnel of Security Task Force (STF) also known as Operation Safe Haven who ambushed and gruesomely shot dead nine youths and fatally injured three who are recuperating in an unnamed hospital for security reasons.
According to the Director, Stefano Foundation, Mark Lipdo, the number of those shot dead were initially seven but later on got to nine when two out of the five injured died in the Hospital where they were rushed to.
Presently, there are high emotions and fair around Diyan, Gako, and other neighbouring communities of both RIM, Jol, Hoss of Riyom LGA.
Those who were killed in the attack on Rim village of Riyom LGA in Plateau State were;
1. Felix Ngwonm,
2. sunday Danburang,
3. Ruben Daburang,
4. Daniel Nini ,
5. Dashom Emmanuel, 6. Chuwang bitrus,
7. Daniel shom
8. Ababa shom
9. Danchus Emmanuel
Burial has already taken place Wednesday morning in the village.
