Christians Only Material: Why there is politics in churches 1

Must read

By Festus Ndukwe.
.
People marvel why there is politics in Church. They wonder why there is politicking, maneuvering, manipulation, scheming, supplanting, fighting, jostling for positions and juju in the household of God.
It is understandable that politicians in government fight and undo themselves to get into positions of power and influence, but why should it be so in God’s house?
Seat of Governance
This should be made clear to us. The real seat of government of nations or where decisions are made is not in Aso Rock in Abuja, Nigeria. It is not even in the White House in Worshington DC, USA. Neither is it in 10, Downing Street in London. It is not even in many churches across the world. The real seat of government, either for God or Satan is in MAN.
For Satan, his seat of government is SELF in man. For God, His seat of government is in CHRIST resident in crucified man.
Where there are many human beings whose SELF is alive, Satan’s government will be strong. But where there are few human beings whose SELF is dead and Christ is on the throne, God’s government or Kingdom will be weak, either it is in Church or secular world. Many human SELFs, much influence by Satan or Satanic influence. Few *CHRISTs* in men, little influence by God or godly influence.
Why thy Kingdom Come?
It is for this reason that Jesus charges us to pray, “Thy Kingdom come.”
Jesus knows that there is a kingdom that is already in place in the heart of man as a result of the fall at Eden, and that if this kingdom is not displaced and replaced, God’s will, will never be done on earth as it is done in Heaven. His will, will never be done in Church or in secular world, and there is nothing any one can do.
Bad news. There may never be order in Churches in their leadership successions or choice of leaders until something drastic happens in MAN.
