Panic in Abuja over alleged point-blank shooting of policemen

Communities, especially estates and the African University of Science and Technology (AUST) are scared stiff after seven policemen standng guard around Galadimawa Roundabout were found shot dead over Monday night.
Police sources have confirmed the mystery deaths but a message being circulated among residents has advised those in the area to have their identity cards on them at all times.
The message reads in full: “This is to inform the entire community that unknown gun men stormed the Police outpost at Galadimawa roundabout yesterday night (2nd July, 2018) and shot seven (7) Policemen dead at a close range and made away with their riffles according to eye-witness reports.
“As part of an ongoing investigations embarked upon by Federal Government to bring the killer(s) to book, the entire AUST community are advised to always be with their identification (ID) cards and be
conscious of whom they discuss the above incident with, as some uniformed and plain clothes personnels are already deployed to comb the entire Galadimawa area and its environs during these periods.
“The Police Command assures the safety of the entire Galadimawa community, that people should be free to carry out their daily lawful activities, as the security agents are on top of the issue.”
