Must read

After nearly three days since the scandalous revelation by an online newspaper, Premium Times, that Finance Minister, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, allegedly used a forged NYSC Exemption certificate to become Minister; and the subsequent loud silence from her and her aides, she eventually made a public appearance in Abuja on Monday.
She surfaced on the same day the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), issued a statement stating that she actually sought exemption from the one year mandatory service scheme. It did not say if she was granted a certificate of exemption.
Throughout the weekend, media aides of Adeosun did not respond to enquiries but sent out photographs of her meeting with Iinternational Monetary Fund (IMF) officials.
A statement by the NYSC Director of Press and Public Relations, Mrs Adenike Adeyemi says: “Our attention has been drawn to the issue of the alleged forgery of an NYSC Exemption Certificate by the Honorable Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun.
“Checking our records, Mrs. Adeosun did apply for an Exemption Certificate.”
“We shall investigate the origin of the purported Exemption Certificate in question”.
