President Buhari leaves for London vacation on Friday, visits campaign office in Abuja

President Muhammadu Buhari will be starting a 10 working days vacation on Friday, according to a statement issued on Twitter by his spokesman, Mallam Garba Shehu.
In effect, the President will be away for between 12 and 14 days since Saturday’s and Sundays are not factored as working days.
Shehu added that in compliance with Section 145 (1) of the 1999 Constitution, a letter has been transmitted to the President of the Senate, and the Speaker, House of Representatives to that effect.
In Buhari’s absence, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo SAN, will act as President. According to Shehu, the President will be in London for the duration of the vacation.
But Wednesday, the President visited his refurbished 2019 presidential campaign headquarters in Abuja.
The same building, now wearing a spiffy look was the campaign headquarters for the 2015 election.
Among those on the President’s entourage during the visit were his Chief of Staff, Mallam Abba Kyari, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, and other senior government officials.
The delegation was received by the Director-General of the President’s 2019 Campaign Organisation and Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi. He took the President and his entourage round the newly refurbished structure, the statement by Shehu said.
