The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mallam Muhammad Bello, has replaced three of the Secretaries (equivalent of State Commissioners) who did not resign their appointments though they had political ambitions for 2019.
“The affected appointees had refused to heed to the warning of the administration to formally resign before seeking political offices as 2019 general election draws near,” a source volunteered.
The new secretaries are:
*Dr. Bala Liman from Niger state who takes over from Senator Isa Maina as Education Secretary;
*Dr. Aminu Mai- takes over from Barrister Amanda Pam as Health Secretary;
*Bashir Mohammed takes over from Alhaji Ladi Alhassan as Secretary of Social Development.
However, the Transportation Secretary, Comrade Kayode Opeifa, does not yet have a replacement, “but will be replaced by yet to be determined appointee,” the source added.
