Still on His Excellencies, “Governors “Inconclusive”; INEC announces new date for polls

The IndependentNational Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed the 23rd March for election in States where elections were inconclusive and Governors-elect not named.
The States include Adamawa, Bauchi, Benue, Sokoto, Kano, and Plateau.
National Commissioner and Chairman of the INEC Committee on Information and Voter Education, Mr. Festus Okoye, also announced that a fact-finding committee will go to Bauchi to investigate why the election in one of the local government areas.

Details of where supplementary elections will take place is being worked out, but below are the affected states and why the elections are holding as pieced together unofficially by analysts:

Among these six areas, five, according to analysts, are PDP strongholds.
Said an analyst, “The total number of registered voters in the affected units is 40988 votes and PDP is already leading with 32476 votes. PDP needs only 10000 votes out of the 40988 votes. In fact 5000 votes will make PDP winner.”
Following the allegations of the involvement of security men in the electoral process, one source boasted that even if the whole Nigeria Armed Forces and Police are deployed for the rerun, PDP will get more votes in the polling units.
