Nigeria is the 22nd most generous country in the world. According ot the World Giving Index of the Charity Aid Foundation, in its recently released 10th edition report, the United Sates of America is the most generous country in the World. It has held unto this position in the last ten years, out of the 126 Countries surveyed.
The parameters used in determining the Giving Indices of each country under the survey included:
Helping a stranger;
Donating money and
Volunteering time.
In the rankings, Nigeria beat rich countries like Finland to 25th position and Sweden to the 29th positon. Kenya is Africa’s most generous country taking 11th position in the ranking.
The top ten most generous countries are:

Myanmar 2nd
New Zealand 3rd
Australia 4th
Ireland 5th
Canada 6th
United Kingdom 7th
Netherlands 8th
Sri Lanka 9th
Indonesia 10th
According to the report, China is the least generous country in the world. It leads the top 10 meagre giving countries in the world as follows:
Rwanda 115th
Madagascar 116th
Russian Federation 117th
Croatia 118th
Montenegro 119th
Bulgaria 120th
Lithuania 121th
State of Palestine 122th
Serbia 123th
Yemen 124th
Greece 125th
China 126th
