Love-bird couple, AbdulRasheed Bello (JJC Skillz) and actress wife, Funke ‘Jenifa’ Akindele, have been fined N100,000 each and sentenced to 14 days of community service after pleading guilty at a Lagos Island Magistrate Court to breaching the social distancing law of the Lagos State Government.
They will go into isolation after the community service which entails educating some residents on the need for Social Distancing.
They were charged to court on Monday shortly after AbdulRasheed showed up at the Police station on Panti Street. His wife is believed to have spent the night there.
Mrs. Akindele, who plays Jenifa in popular television programme, Jenifa’s Diary, was arrested on Sunday by the Police for flouting social distancing rules at a party she and her husband organised, which has caused quite a stir on social media.
She was arrested at their Amen Estate residence in Ibeju-Lekki in Lagos State.
Mrs. Akindele was full of apologies for her action, which has drawn the ire of many who see her action as a naked case of hypocrisy, being an ambassador and advert model of the Nigeria Centre for Disease (NCDC).
