An Ogun State official who assaulted an unnamed woman has been arrested, the Transactional Chairman of Ifo Local Government Area, Mr. Fila Salami, has said.
A viral video made by the woman shows her been attacked twice by an official she attempted to film. He appeared to have directed his subordinates to deflate the tyres of her car after having it impounded and taken to the Local Government Area office.
Anger swelled on social media platforms forcing the Local Government boss to respond with efforts he had made to resolve the matter.
The video, and tweets by Salami, showed she ran foul of lockdown rules.
The Chairman also disclosed that all officials involved in the woman’s predicament had been suspended without pay.
