Earlier in the day, the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee conducting the investigations, into alleged mismanagement of N40 billion, Mr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (APC-Ondo), stepped aside.
Last week, the NDDC asked him to step down, a development which led to Pondei walking out on the Reps panel last week.
After the faint spell and resuscitation, Pondei could not continue his response to questions and left the National Assembly.
Mr Tunji-Ojo resigned a few minutes to noon on Monday, noting that he would be available to meet anti-graft agencies over allegations by NDDC he was complicit in corruption scandals at the Commission. He was immediately replaced by Thomas Ereyitomi (PDP-Delta).
