The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has granted bail to former governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, its chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, has said.
But he is still in detention until he perfects his bail, Bawa disclosed on Monday to journalists in Abuja at 5th Annual General Assembly (AGA) of the Network of Anti-Corruption Institutions in West Africa (NACIMA).
Obiano, was arrested on Thursday night by the anti-graft agency at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos on his way to the United States of America.
He was subsequently moved to Abuja where he was questioned all through the weekend for allegedly mismanaging N42bn of State funds.
