Praying is as old and as universal as the existence of humanity. Men in every culture and generation do pray – any how they do.
Prayer however is only meaningful and helpful when one is assured of two things– first that you are heard, and that you can expect an answer. How can we be sure?
Assurance in prayer comes from three main sources:
1. WHO you are praying to.
The “gods” and idols men and cultures have invented are not a good hope.
“Their idols are merely things… shaped by human hands. They have mouths but cannot speak,
and eyes but cannot see. They cannot hear, They cannot feel, and cannot walk…” (Psalm 115:5-8)
There is only one living GOD who answers prayer. His name is JEHOVAH.
“What mighty praise, O God, belongs to you … for you are The God who answers our prayers (Psalm 65:1)
WHO you are trusting in prayer determines whether you are PRAYING or just PLAYING
