Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu ,has picked a kinsman of Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State, Alhaji Kabir Ibrahim Masari as his interim running mate for the February 25, 2023 presidential poll.
In the same vein, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), and former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, has picked Dr. Doyin Okupe, as his interim vice presidential candidate.
The two men, who are placeholders just to beat the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) June 17 deadline for parties to submit the names of their candidates for the 2023 elections. are expected to be replaced in due course.
Already, former Vice-president Atiku Abubakar of the PDP named Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate in the 2023 election.
