Breaking: Bloody Christmas: Sunday/Monday Kaduna killings being blamed on herdsmen, terrorists

There are emerging reports of killings in Kagoro, in Kaura local government area of Kaduna following attacks on two communities there.

Details are sketchy, but there are said to be at least 10 deaths. One source in Abuja, who confirmed the killings, said the body count is still on.

” We will definitely have more than the figure of 12 being bandied because counting is still going on,”  she said.

Another unofficial source said,  “They invaders launched the attack at about 11pm on Sunday, 18/12/2022. The attack lasted hours without any security presence. Houses from three villages were razed down and people killed.

Painfully, he added, “one Mr Richard that died last week and will be buried on Tuesday, 20th December family was not spared. His wife and two sisters were killed.

“One Mr Toma, a retired civil servant was not spared either. Himself, wife and child were also slaughtered amongst other.”

“The community behind the open university down to Mallagum one is almost completely razed down, with a few houses standing. Number of deaths uncertain for now, but there are some on ground.”

Another source said, “The fulani herdsmen-terrorists attack last night was on the two villages of Malagum and Sokong. Malagum is close to the newly built hospital, while Sokong is by the Boroni Promo near Senator Danjuma Laah’s petrol station i.e the temporary site of Open University in Kagoro.

“Many people are reported to have been killed, houses burnt down, so much destruction.
The fighters continued chanting “Allah akbar” as they killed, and burnt.

“It is too early to have the total figures of death as at now because they are still counting the dead. It is now 7.10 AM, Monday 19/12/2022.”

Police and official comments were still being awaited at press time.
