Ahead of Saturday’s elections, the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Barr. Felix Morka, has called on the people of Ika Federal Constituency to vote massively for the Party.
He spoke as former Minister of State for Finance and former Chairman of First Bank, Mr. Remi Babalola, joined his voice to those calling for free and fair elections.
His words: “87m PVC collected, despite our current challenges as a dysfunctional contraption for state predation and plunder, I see a nation where possibilities and opportunities are for everyone. A peaceful, united , prosperous nation hinged on values, technology, education, law and order.
“Please let’s go out and vote on Saturday morning. It’s our basic civic duty. Vote your conscience, vote your future.”
Morka who led other party stakeholders and faithful in a carnival-like campaign rally in Agbor, Ika South, Delta State, yesterday said the APC-led federal government has done creditably well to deserve overwhelming support from the people.
He was upbeat that all the candidates of the party would be massively voted for because “our people are eager to send the Peoples Democratic Party packing for non-performace.”
According to him, Delta State was not a PDP state. “The state has only had the misfortune of being ruled by the ruinous party for an upward of over two decades with nothing on ground to justify their long stay in power. So, it is not a PDP state because our people are in a hurry to send them packing”, he declared.
Morka debunked the claim that the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, posed any threat to the APC because neither the candidate nor his political party had what it takes to upend APC’s victory which he said was a _fait accompli._
The two-day rally took the motorcade through various communities and towns within Ika Federal Constituency.
