“BE MY WITNESSES*. That is one desire the Lord has for all He calls in Christ Jesus. This means being a people whose lives can persuade others to put their trust in Him._
For many a believer, being witnesses simply means to be testifiers, telling or singing of God’s goodness often to those who already believe. And there is nothing wrong with that. However, it falls far short of God’s expectations. For any one, even an unbeliever, could testify of God’s goodness. And many do.
Being God’s witnesses is about being exhibits of His character, love and power. He called *Abraham* His friend. Of *Moses*, God boasted of a face to face relationship. And of *Jesus* He said, *”this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased, listen to him” (Mk. 9:7)* These are testimonies.
Are we TESTIMONIES God can boast of and showcase to the world or mere TESTIFIERS, announcing God’s goodness? The difference is in kingdom impact.
