Foundation disrributes fertilizer to IDPs in Kaduna

Must read

As part of its intervention to empower persecuted Christians, Lay Faithful Trust Foundation conducted relief distribution of fertilizer in some communities in Kaduna state.

The communities are Tsaunin Mayou, Unguwan Wakili, Langson Mabushi, Mallagum, and Sakong

“It should be realized that persecution of Christians in northern Nigeria is not restricted to physical attacks. An equally dangerous, but subtle persecution of Christians, is the placement of economic embargo on the brethren. Most of the Christians in northern Nigeria are deliberately hindered from active participation in economic activities. Therefore, there must be a well-intentioned programme of intervention to grant Christians in the North economic emancipation.

“Empowerment programs of this nature require a lot of funding and only the Christian community can donate such funds.

“This empowerment support for the brethren started last year and the fertilizer was of immense benefit to the persecuted brethren. The application of fertilizer is done twice during the farming season. With sufficient support from the Christian community, we hope to conduct the second phase of the empowerment program in July.
To ensure that more people benefit from the program, a bag of fertilizer is shared between two families. The distribution of the fertilizer is based on households,” the Foundation said a statement by its spokesman, Pastor Bosun Emmanuel.

He thanked those who generously donated to support persecuted Christians in Nigeria, praying that they would receive God’s blessings.

“We also thank our team in Kaduna state for the faithful execution of the relief project.

“Once again, we appeal to all Christians to join in the ministry to the persecuted Christians in the body of Christ. “And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; …” 1 Cor. 12: 26. The suffering of one, is the suffering of all. *“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”* Gal. 6: 2,” he added.

He urged donation to these needy persons through the United Bank for Africa (UBA) account number 1024937491 of the Lay Faithful Trust Foundation.
