Must read

From Ron-Well Jacob, Jos.
The Plateau Youth Council (PYC) says six youths on their way to a Federal government training session have gone missing along the Mangu – Jos road.
Mr Dapar Emmanuel, the PYC Branch Chairman disclosed this to everyday.ng in an interview on Sunday in Mangu.
He said that the incident occurred at Bisichi near Du village of Jos South Local Government Area (LGA) while in a convoy of six Sharon buses heading to Shere Hills in Jos for a leadership training organised by the Federal Government.
He said the incident happened shortly before the Plateau State Government declared the 6.00 p.m. – 6.00 a.m. curfew in Barkin Ladi, Riyom and Jos South LGAs. The PYC chairman said they have reported the matter the Police, Department of State Services (DSS), and the military Special Task Force (STF).
Contacted, the STF spokesman, Maj Umar Adams, who confirmed the attacked on motorists and commuters, said officers and men were deployed to most of the roads blocked by miscreants and disbanded them. Adams, described the situation as “very sad and unfortunate”, adding that the security operatives have succeeded in bringing the situation under control.
A security source feared that the missing youths could be part of commuters killed by miscreants, who attacked travellers before the imposition of the curfew meant to help arrest the escalation of the breakdown of law and order.
