A Federal Capital Territory High Court Judge, Justice Peter Affen, has quashed and dismissed the four Counts Charge preferred against Nze Duru by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
He described them as an abuse of court processs, vexatious, annoying and meant to embarrass Nze Chidi Duru.
Justice Afen found that the charge was predicated, connected with and related with the Pencom Target Examination on First Guarantee Pension Limited which report had been nullified, voided and vitiated by a court of competent jurisdiction.
He said that the commission of its own volition, had earlier withdrawn a similar charge in a Lagos High Court. The EFCC said then that there was nothing criminal against Nze Chidi Duru.
Duru had always contended that this particular, as in the other charges against him, was a ploy by the former Director-General of the National Pension Commission, Chinelo Anohu-amazu, and Kashim Ibrahim Imam to appropriate his business First Guarantee Pension, in the last six years.
