Lai Mohammed, Amaechi, Fashola return; Adedayo, Keyamo, Akpabio make list of Buhari’s ministerial nominees

President Muhammadu Buhari has bettered his 2015 record, sending Tuesday a list of 43 ministerial nominees for screening and confirmation of the Senate, just less than two months after he was sworn in. Screening of the nominees begins Wednesday, the Senate President Ahmed Lawan said.

Prominent on the list is Festus Keyamo SAN, who was President Muhammadu Buhari’s spokesman before and after the 2019 presidential election.

Returnees include Lai Mohammed, Rotimi Amaechi, Adamu Adamu, Hadi Sirika, and Babatunde Fashola.

Some of the fresh faces are former Senators Olorunnimbe Mamora, Gbemisola Saraki, Olutayo Alasoadura, All Progressives Congress chieftain and former governor of Ekiti State, Niyi Adebayo.

Other former Governors, who were also Senators, on the list are Godswill Akpabio, George Akume, Timipre Sylva.

Former APC Women leader, Ramatu Tijani is nominee from Kogi State.
