Why we sacked Sanusi, Kano govt; (Hausa Video announcing sack of Emir)

Must read

Volatile Kano is on edge following the dethronment of the colourful Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. It is an historical de ja vu, his great grandfather, Muhammadu Sanusi, haven been sacked decades ago.
Bets are on that the Supreme Court of Nigeria will be the final bus-stop of this disagreement, with a determined Governor and a stubborn ex-emir.
The disagreement between Governor Umar Ganduje and Sanusi peaked with last year’s gubernatorial elections, following the support Sanusi gave to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abba, who had the backing of Ganduje’s sworn political foe and former boss, Senator Musa Kwankwaso. Ganduje was deputy to Kwankwaso until 2015.
To spite Sanusi, Ganduje broke the Kano Emirate into five, giving just one part. The others are Gaya, Rano, Bichi, Karaye.
As a follow-up to the statement by Ganduje’s spokesman sacking Sanusi, the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji, explained why Sanusi was removed. (Read statement below).
