Queen’s College Old Girls Association loses past president

The Queen’s College Old Girls Association (QCOBA) has announced the death of its immediate past President and medical consultant with the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Professor Frances Ajose.
In a statement, the General Secretary of the Association, Ayodele Onakoya wrote: “It is with deep regret that the Queen’s College Old Girls Association (QCOGA) announces the death of its immediate past President Professor Frances Oluwafunmilayo Ajose nee Osinupebi on Sunday April 26, 2020 at the age of 68.
“As President, Prof. Ajose played a key role in bringing the 2017 Water Crisis at the school under control, even spending nights at the hospital with the children.
“A member of the QCOG Class of 1968, Prof Ajose was a very passionate and active QCOG who lent her time and wealth of experience to the Association, Queen’s College, individual members and the communities she served.
“She was a Consultant Physician Dermatologist, Professor of Medicine, Lagos State University College of Medicine and Lagos State University Teaching Hospital
“She was also the current President of the Lagos State Chapter of the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria.
“She will be very sorely missed.
“We pray for God’s comfort for her family at this trying time.
“Funeral arrangements will be announced by the family.”
No cause of death was given in the statement.
