The Ghanian government has expressed regret over the demolition of a storey structure belonging to the Nigerian High Commission, just a stone-throw from that country’s Police Headquarters.
There has been bristling anger by Nigerians on social media, while others are scoffing at government forits weakness and inability to employ reciprocal or definitive measures to deal with Nigeria’s closest anglophone nation.
It is not the first time Ghana’s leaders will remain laid back or even complicit in meeting out harsh actions against Nigerians, but Abuja has been slow in reacting, and other times accused of looking away.
In this case, the Ghanian government says it will investigate and bring perpetrators to book in a statement by its Ministry of Affairs and Regional Integration.
