(Opinion) Mr. President, sir, use the sword God and the constitution gave you impartially; tell your boys to ‘shut up’

There is just one major issue which most Nigerians are not happy about with PMB. It is the issue of insecurity! Well meaning Nigerians have been calling on PMB to rise to the occasion but rather than being encouraged to listen to the voice of reason, the sycophants around PMB are busy lambasting anyone who criticises their boss. This is very unfortunate! These sycophants even boast of the infrastructural development which PMB is doing in order to justify the external borrowings and of course preserve their jobs.

Any leader who does not value human lives is not fit to be a leader! Infrastructure or no infrastructure, we all know that Nigerian governments are known for abandoned/uncompleted projects.

In most instances, they start a project and wittingly or unwittingly fail to complete the same. Don’t be surprised that by 2023, PMB will also leave office without completing some projects he started. Time will tell.

Back to the issue of insecurity in Nigeria, it has reached an alarming proportion under PMB! It is very glaring!!! And the most annoying thing is when PMB, both with his body and mouth language, appears not to care! Can you imagine his utterances to the killings in Benue state – “tell your people to learn to live peacefully with the Fulanis” or “why should people occupy grazing routes established before independence? ” etc. What right does a Fulani man from Mali, Guinea, and Niger have to come and graze in Nigeria? Are there no government in those countries? How long shall we continue to justify the killings of our people by strangers?

We all know that Boko Haram did not start with PMB’s govt but some things are clear – OBJ was able to contain both Boko Haram and Niger Delta militancy to a good extent. Yar’adua also contained insecurity to a good extent. GEJ did fairly well. Mind you, am talking about individual leaders and not political party please!

Even when Ojukwu declared civil war, Gowon was able to largely contain it to the South East, with minimal effect, if any, on other parts of the country.

But today, we have a well experienced military General, OFR, Sandhurst trained, mni, and GCFR unable to tame Boko Haram, banditry, kidnapping, and communal clashes all around the country!!! That is the issue*l

No matter how much infrastructure is put in place, there is no guarantee that they will not be vandalised tomorrow with this pace of national insecurity. There is a African that an undisciplined child will ultimately sell off the house built by his parents. Do we really know how much human and physical infrastructure that have been destroyed in Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Taraba, Niger, Kaduna Plateau, and Benue states?

Why was Amotekun put in place in the South West even though all the governors are not from the same political party? Is it not to check the satanic and accelerated aggression of the blood-thirsty bandits? Look at the South East and South West – can we really say that all is well with regards to security? You may be secure in my own house but what about the hundreds of people being turned to IDPs everyday under the watch of PMB?

If PMB sincerely decides today to put aside his ethnic and religious sentiments, and fight the current insecurity in Nigeria, there would be a great difference and Nigeria will surely move forward in every area. We don’t have to beg him to do it and we don’t need to clap for him for anything good he does while in office. That’s the reason he has been put there. He requested to be put there, and he’s not using a penny of his own to do the job! In fact, as a taxpayer, I am paying him much more than the leaders of other countries around the world who are doing much better than him!!!

In conclusion, the Holy Bible says in Rom. 13: 4 “PMB is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on those who practice evil (banditry, terrorism, kidnapping, communal clashes, bloodshed, etc). The sword is in his hand, let him use it wisely, courageously, and without discrimination!!!

God bless Nigeria!!!
