The much-awaited reaction to last Saturday’s governorship election from the immediate past Governor of Edo and former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adam’s Oshiomhole, have come in, and while not openly conciliatory to his successor, the former Labour leader conceded defeat, and spoke of time to move on.
Oshiomhole’s preferred candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, of the APC was soundly beaten by sitting Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In the video, apparently shot in a fitness centre, he thanked all those, including elderly women, who made efforts to vote despite challenges.
He said contrary to what many think that he is down, he is not down, adding “once God says you are not down, you are not down, and I am not down,”
