Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has repeated the feat of his Edo counterpart, Godwin Obaseki, winning back as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared him winner of the Ondo State Governorship election.
He polled a total of 292,839 votes to win the election to defeat the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic Party who polled 193,585 votes, and Agboola Ajayi of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) who got 60,051 votes.
