Sacked Rivers East Senatorial District Senator, George Sekibo, is alleging that something fishy is going on, because neither him nor his lawyer has seen a copy of the tribunal judgement that sacked him, to enable him appeal the decision.
He told journalists in Abuja on Tuesday he suspected foul play in the alleged attempt to stifle his appeal plans in the judgement of the Justice Goddy Anonihu-led tribunal.
Andrew Uchendu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) toppled the PDP Senator at the tribunal last Wednesday.
Said Sekibo: “I have not seen a copy of the judgment, my lawyers have not seen the judgment since it was delivered. Nobody has seen the tribunal chairman and we don’t have the document to enable us file our appeal.”
“(The votes of the people) who came out and voted overwhelmingly for the PDP would never be subverted as the truth cannot be defeated by shades of darkness.”
He called on his supporters to remain calm, while expressing his faith in the judiciary.
