Worried by some media reports that linked one of its directors with funding terrorism, the management of mobile telecommunication firm, 9mobile, has said its director is not the one on the United Arab Emirates (UAE} list of terrorism financiers.

Specifically, it insists Abdurrahman Ado Musa, who is on that list is not the same as Abdulrahman Ado, its Executive Director of Regulatory and Corporate Affairs.

9mobile urged the general public to disregard the mistaken identity reported in the media.

In a statement, the company said, “Our Director, Abdulrahman Ado, is a respectable law-abiding Nigerian. He served the country diligently in public service for over three decades before transferring his services to the private sector.

“He served in various capacities and was Pioneer Vice-Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission and Executive Commissioner, Licensing and Consumer Affairs, Nigerian Communications Commission.

“As a law-abiding company that believes in the greatness of Nigeria, and the well-being of all its citizens, 9mobile would never accommodate any undesirable element within its management and staff.’’

Recall that on Tuesday, the media was replete with reports of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) declaring six Nigerians wanted for terrorism.

The Nigerians were on the list of 38 individuals and 15 entities the country added to its terror designation list,

Four Emiratis, two Lebanese, eight Yemenis, five Syrians, five Iranians, two Iraqis, one each from India, Afghanistan, Britain, Saint Kitts-Navis, Russia, and Jordan are on the list.

Below are the Nigerians on the terror list:

• Abdurrahaman Ado Musa

• Salihu Yusuf Adamu

• Bashir Ali Yusuf

• Muhammed Ibrahim Isa

• Ibrahim Ali Alhassan

• Surajo Abubakar Muhammad
