The wife of Kano State Governor,, Dr Hafsat Umar Ganduje, has been released by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), which grilled her for over five hours on Sunday.
After a two-night stay in Abuja, she was back in Kano on Tuesday.
Dr. Ganduje, reported herself to EFCC headquarters in Abuja on Sunday, and was questioned for her alleged involvement in a land scandal.
She had earlier ignored the EFCC’s invitation following the petition filed against her by first son Abdulzeez Ganduje.
She was alleged to have illegally hijacked a land property worth billions of naira, but was granted an administrative bail.
Governor Ganduje, accompanied his wife to the EFCC headquarters, and returned to Kano with her through the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano, on Tuesday morning.
Abdulzeez had dragged his mother Hafsat Ganduje through the EFCC, over a property.
He reportedly claimed his mother used her access to power to enrich herself.
