Our world and times appear to be engulfed in darkness, thick darkness – hardships, violence, wars, confusion and uncertainty. The end result is anxiety, fear and hopelessness.
God’s answer and solution to a dark, formless, turbulent world has always been light. “Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep… And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light” (Gen. 1:2-3)
God’s light in our world today is encapsulated in the life and ministry of His people – the Church. His plan and desire is that wherever His people and Church go, they will be “a burning and shining lamp” (John 5:35)
Darkness reigns where and when light is absent or fails to shine. Let us arise and shine and defeat this crippling darkness.
