In all, eight men smiled victoriously out of the Supreme Court complex in the Thŕee-Arm Zone of Abuja on Friday. They may be on their way to Umuahia, Bauchi, Calabar, Abakaliki, Kano, Ikeja, Jos, and Gusau to the wide and open hands of well-wishers and supporters, while eager-to-spend and excited civil servants use scarce state resources to celebrate their victories.
The men retained their seats as governors in eight states of the Federation.
They are:
● Governor Alex Otti (LP) – Abia
● Governor Bala Mohammed (PDP) – Bauchi
● Governor Bassey Otu (APC) – Cross River
● Governor Francis Nwifuru (APC) – Ebonyi
● Governor Abba Yusuf (NNPP) – Kano
● Governor Sanwo-Olu (APC) – Lagos
● Governor Caleb Mutfwang (PDP) – Plateau
● Governor Dauda Lawal (PDP) – Zamfara
